How to do it, step by step
- Stand with feet hip-width apart, hands behind your head or crossed on your chest.
- Bend your knees slightly and keep them there.
- Push your hips back and tip your torso forward with a flat back until you feel a stretch in your hamstrings.
- Return by driving your hips forward.
Common mistakes
- Rounding your back.
- Bending your knees too much and turning it into a squat.
- Going lower than your flexibility allows.
